*CM is an annual evaluation of students’ progress and is done online.

Students will take the online theory, ear-training, and sight-reading tests and upload their performance recordings of technique and repertoire requirements.

01 Instructor Qualifications

  1. The class will be on a one-on-one basis.

  2. Any student can enlist in the class, from beginner to advanced students.

  3. The curriculum follows the CM syllabus. The CM level system (11 levels from Preparatory to Advanced) will be the guide for measuring a level.

  4. Areas of study include classical piano literature from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods, Technique, Keyboard Theory, Sight-Reading, and Ear Training. Students will study the appropriate content in all areas following the level system.

02 Contents of the Study

  1. Students will perform in studio recitals in December & May. The recital is counted as a lesson.

  2. Students will be encouraged to participate in MTAC Sacramento County Branch events.

  3. Students are encouraged to share their musical talents with others in worship and community.

  4. Students are encouraged to be evaluated annually through the CM program.

  5. Students are encouraged to participate in performance competition(s) when they are ready.

03 Performance Opportunities

  1. The class meets once a week. The length of the class will be determined by discussion between the instructor and parents.  

  2. Tuition is based on the length of lesson, and the lesson duration is based on the level of the student.

  • 45 minutes lesson tuition: $240.00 per month

  • 60 minutes lesson tuition: $320.00 per month

  1. The parents/guardians are responsible for the extra costs they incur, such as CM registration fees, recital fees, competition fees, study materials, etc.

04 Length of Class, Tuition, & Other Charges

  1. There will be no make-up lessons or refund of the tuition for no-shows or cancellations on the lesson day for any reason.

  2. Make-ups are allowed for out-of-town trips when discussed with the instructor at least two weeks in advance.

  3. Make-ups are only possible on Fridays at the Lincoln studio through prior arrangements with the instructor.

Fridays: Make-up Lesson Day.  Make-up lessons are available only with prior arrangement, held

at the private Studio at 2215 Auburn Ravine Drive, Lincoln, CA
